dello scolpire, seguendo la partitura della forma che diviene.

New meditative concept-opera, in Compact Disk, centered on the discovery, exploration and redeployment
in the sound context of the art of sculpture, starting with the sound generated during the process of sculpture, following the score of the form in becoming.

Per scultura non mi riferisco qui al risultato tridimensionale di una produzione ma chiamo scultura con il termine «azione» intendendo la performance dello scolpire praticata, dall’artista stesso, sulla materia.

Mi riferisco alla scultura, che io faccio, con strumenti a
mano quali mazzetta e scalpelli su marmo o pietra e in taglio diretto, a quella poetica e non a quella riproduttiva o traduttiva.
Il primo gesto performato di questa azione-scultura è la percussione quindi è il produrre suono, da questo deriva la modifica della materia che è risultato dello scolpire e quindi della performance.
La scultura è arte sonora, azione silenziosa che si compie ascoltandosi nei suoni, prodotti dagli strumenti, seguendo una partitura in divenire che è la forma stessa dell’opera che viene scolpita.
Dai suoni possiamo capire come potrà essere l’esito formale e visivo dell’opera, quale sarà la portata dei colpi e quale il loro risultato in termini formali di segno o di asportazione.
Ma i suoni della scultura hanno valore autonomo in quanto precedono la forma e sono essi stessi opera.
I brani di questa raccolta sono unici e non ripetibili. Ognuno si riferisce ad una sessione di scultura su di un differente blocco di marmo in cui anche sonorità di strumenti altri si sono autonomamente unite.

By sculpture I am not referring here to the three-dimensional result of a production but I call sculpture by the term “action” meaning the performance of sculpting practiced by the artist himself on the material.
I refer to sculpting,that I do, with hand tools: mallet and chisels on marble or stone and in direct cutting, to the poetic and not to the reproductive or translative sculpture.
The first performative gesture of this sculptural action is percussion so it is the production of sound, from this comes the modification of the material which is the result of the sculpting and thus the performance. Sculpture is a sound art, silent action that is performed by listening to oneself in the sounds produced by the instruments,
following a score in the making that is the very form of the work determining itself in the action. From the sounds we can understand how the formal and visual outcome may be of the work, what the scope of the blows will be and what their result will be in formal terms of mark or removal. But the sounds in the sculpture
have autonomous value in that they precede the form and are themselves artwork. The pieces in this collection are unique and non-repeatable. Each refers to a sculpture session on a different marble on whose sounds the other instruments with their sonorities have independently united.
